We are looking for a skilled and proactive Patch Management Engineer (L2) to join our IT operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, secure, and compliant patch deployment across enterprise systems, including Windows, Linux, and third-party applications. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in patch management tools, a strong understanding of system vulnerabilities, and experience working in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver Level 2 operational support for enterprise patching activities across Windows, Linux, and third-party applications.
Manage patch deployment using tools such as Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Ivanti, BigFix, WSUS, or equivalent.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to evaluate patch impact and coordinate testing and deployment schedules.
Monitor patch compliance and deployment status; generate and analyze compliance and remediation reports.
Troubleshoot and resolve patching-related failures or exceptions escalated from Level 1 support or automation systems.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action planning related to patching issues.
Maintain and update documentation, patching schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure patching activities meet security and compliance standards (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
Support vulnerability remediation efforts by addressing system-level gaps identified in vulnerability scans.
Required Skills & Qualifications4+ years of experience in IT patch management, system administration, or endpoint security.
Proficiency with at least one enterprise patch management tool (SCCM/MECM, BigFix, Ivanti, ManageEngine, etc.).
Strong working knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop OS, Linux distributions, and third-party application patching.
Basic scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent for automation and diagnostics.
Familiarity with ITIL-based change management and incident handling.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Flexibility to support patching during off-hours or weekend maintenance windows, as needed.
