Senior Patient Services Specialist - Alaska Medical Center

Under supervision coordinates patient scheduling, performs specialized data support and administrative services in support of the Heart and Vascular Center. Schedules complex inpatient and outpatient Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures. Communicates surgical schedules to professional offices.  Coordinates and escalates scheduling conflict resolution as appropriate.  Completes entry of patient charges for billing purposes and surgical journal/record information for business intelligence reporting.  Conducts additional patient charge research and escalates as appropriate.  Works closely with management, staff and physicians to ensure communication flows throughout department.

Required Qualifications: 

4 years of experience in medical setting. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Medical terminology. Acute care hospital experience.
