Role Impact:
To deliver a consistent and superior level of customer service to clients by actively seeking out opportunities to provide assistance and support. To ensure that property rules and standards are observed by maintaining a highly visible and reassuring presence through their assigned patrol and post duties. To act as a deterrent to crime and undesired activity and help to maintain a visibly safe and welcoming property environment. The successful candidate must be able to work shifts including weekends, nights, and evenings.
What you will deliver:
Perform a Team Lead role for the other guards. Act as a resource to by providing mentorship, leadership and guidance Assist in the development and training for new employees and track progress through onboarding packages. Provide documentation and feedback to the Security Management team Coordinate break schedules, assist in guard deployment for routine and emergency situations Complete necessary Security Department audits Assist in investigations related to the property and tenants and complete necessary reports To patrol the Toronto-Dominion Centre complex To identify and deal with security exposures, violations, hazards and suspicious activities and report same To provide an active and preventative security presence in all common areas of the Concourse Retail Mall To ensure public safety and a problem free environment Cover Security Operations Centre breaks when required Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:
Diploma in Security preferred Current CPR and First Aid Certificates Minimum of two-to-three (2-3) years’ general security experience and acceptable familiarity with the TDC Complex/PATH Team lead experience preferred Obtain and maintain a valid Security Guard licence and comply with PSISA and its regulations, as amended from time to time Successful completion of annual Use Of Force and CF compliance training Complete CF Serve and Secure program and recertification annually Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act Maintain safe working practices and demonstrate same to co- workers Basic knowledge of emergency procedures and Standard Operating Procedures Detailed notebook taking and report writing ability Organizational and administrative skills Proficient with computer programs i.e. Gmail, Google Documents, Excel, Word) Security related software system knowledge and previous use (CCTV, Access Control)
