What success looks like in this role:
The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for multiple payrolls, within the EMEA region’s payroll including Hungary and UK.
oversee processing of their assigned country payroll(s) and ensure all deadlines are met
maintain relationships with internal clients (HR, Finance, Global Rewards, Business Units) and payroll providers
update and/or provide payroll data through either data entry or use of data collection tools (Share point, Workday, Payroll Reports, Oracle, etc…)
manage local time and attendance data as well as sick leave documents
process payroll in line with internal and local policies and procedures (work closely together with 3rd party to ensure accurate payroll results, review gross to net payroll files, handle employee queries)
ensure Unisys remain legislatively compliant and work with the appropriate cross-functional teams to ensure any policy changes are correctly reflected within our payroll applications
document a business case any new requirements/process improvement and manage the project implementation working with the appropriate organizations, i.e. Unisys IT, applicable cross-functional team(s) and payroll provider while ensuring, if needed, the security and internal audit team(s) are updated
ensure payroll process documentation is maintained and timely updated
support internal and external clients (Finance, EMEA Global team, 3rd party) in audits related to country payroll(s)
The Senior Payroll Analyst must follow company best practices, policy, security protocols around data privacy and securing personal data to reduce risk. The Senior Payroll Analyst is recognized as a payroll subject matter expert.
Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate processing of country payrolls
Coordinate with other departments, i.e. Tax, Global Rewards, Human Resources, Finance to ensure all transactions are received as per defined cutoff’s and policy/process changes are correctly updated in the payroll system
Conduct regular review of current practices with the aim of developing process improvements and manage those improvements from inception to completion
Review process documentation and update as required based on process/policy changes
Understand country payroll(s) – processes, policies, relevant legislation
Work with payroll 3rd party providers to ensure the payroll system is legislatively compliant
Have a good understanding of legislative and Unisys policy requirements impacting payroll
Ensure all statutory payments (e.g. pension, tax, social security etc.) are made by required dates
Understand payroll impacts on Unisys business and timely communicate to management all potential risks
Provide ad hoc reporting to management and business units as required
Address issues with payroll time reporting (local, provider or Unisys systems)
Ensure all data is handled in accordance with Unisys security and record retention policies
Provide support on audits as required, both internal and external audits
Perform reconciliation of relevant payroll accounts
Perform net pay reconciliations as well as Workday to payroll reconciliations to identify and correct outliers, issues, etc. before the next monthly payroll is run
Conduct regular review calls with internal clients (HR/Global Rewards/Finance) as well external vendor(s)
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required or qualification in Payroll and Social Security Administration.
Minimum of 2-3 years payroll experience is required.
