Senior Payroll Consultant
As a Senior Payroll Consultant, you will work with human resources and payroll leadership in identifying payroll system issues, processes and improvements while maintaining compliance with regulations and company policies. This role involves expertise in analyzing and identifying payroll system defects, improvement of internal controls and processes around the payroll system and fixing issues surrounding the prior payroll implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, compliance, and process optimization, with the ability to identify areas for improvement, reduce errors, and enhance overall payroll efficiency. This role requires five days a week onsite in Hoffman Estates, IL location. + Workwith management and other consultants to identify issues related to the priorpayroll implementation and payroll system. + Leadthe process improvement initiative to implement system improvements withthe help of the information technology team and streamline the payrollprocess. + Documentcurrent policies and procedures and offer suggestions to improve the payrollprocess accuracy and efficiency. + Drivealignment with the client's payroll strategy by ensuring policies andprocedures are consistently followed, while tracking and assessing teamperformance against key metrics and service level agreements (SLAs). + Leadthe planning and execution of payroll processes and services to ensureefficient and reliable operations, identifying opportunities for processimprovements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. + Buildand manage relationships with payroll vendors and external serviceproviders to optimize performance, and collaborate cross-functionally withFinance, Benefits, HR, IT, and other departments to support payrollinitiatives. + Provideguidance and leadership to navigate the payroll team through unexpectedchallenges or changes, ensuring stability, adaptability, and continuousimprovement of payroll procedures and controls. + Bachelor’sdegree. + 5+years of experience with payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian,PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle, and/or Ultimate.
