Here's how a(n) Senior Payroll Coordinator for our Solar USA office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities Interprets of labor agreements and statutory legislations to ensure compliance regarding pay, deductions, benefits, taxes and documentation. Maintains and ensures all employee payroll information to ensure it is current and accurate. Maintains and ensures all district payroll system set up is current and accurate, where required (i.e., New Year statutory amounts, recharge rates, AAIs, job, pay, deduction and benefits setup, etc.). Oversees the preparation and processing of full cycle payroll, where required, which includes review and balancing of all payroll related allocations (i.e. rates of pay, deductions, hours of work, burdens, statutory remittances, etc.). Audits work completed to ensure accuracy and may provide backup to payroll preparation as required. Ensures weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports and filings are prepared and submitted as required. Prepares any required employee payroll information, documents or payments for current or terminated employees as required by internal and external stakeholders. Ensures compliance with labor agreements statutory legislation and PCL policy and procedures. Works in conjunction with appropriate resources (i.e. HRPD, Labor Relations) to ensure employee transactions (i.e. new hires, LOA, job code changes, terminations, etc.) are processed accurately and timely.  Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders. Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture. Other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related discipline an asset. Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification obtained or actively working towards. (CAN) Certified Payroll Professional designation an asset. (U.S.) Expert knowledge of payroll processes, statutory laws and labor agreements. Intermediate knowledge of construction industry; understands general terms and processes. Knowledge and experience with job cost accounting and general ledgers. Experience with preparation, reconciliation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external remittances. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and high level of detail orientation required to maintain and submit all necessary documentation and meet deadlines and requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills when dealing with internal/external stakeholders. Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information. Expert knowledge of and experience with payroll and accounting software. Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and internal operating systems.
