The Role

Proofpoint is looking to hire an exceptional Senior Payroll Specialist located at the Draper, UT.  We are seeking a highly motivated professional with exceptional customer service skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will join our Finance and play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and timely financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced organization while providing career development opportunities for motivated individuals. This role will report to the Manager, Payroll (U.S.).

Your day-to-day tasks

Responsibilities include but not limited to assisting in:

Process end to end U.S. and Saipan payroll using ADP Workforce Now (bi-weekly and semi-monthly).Generate, review and import the necessary time and attendance tracking reports to ensure timely and accurate processing of the pay cycle for non-exempt employees.Assist with data integration audits from Workday HR HCM system into ADP Workforce Now payroll system to maintain data accuracy.Provide support for payroll-related inquiries across departments (HR, Benefits, Legal, Finance) and employees.Process off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, manual checks and leaves of absence (LOAs) payments.Address inquiries from garnishment agencies promptly and effectively to ensure compliance.Assist with preparation of general ledger (GL) entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.Assist with the reconciliation and transmission of deduction data files for FSA, HSA, and 401(k) plans to outside vendors.Assist with quarterly and year-end reconciliation audits of the Wage & Tax Registers for accurate W-2 processing.Participate in special projects when requested.

CPP a plus, but not requiredPayroll Accounting experience a plusExtensive working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now for USWorking knowledge of Workday HCM and Workday TimekeepingProficient experience with ExcelMinimum of 8 years of experience processing payroll domestically within the 50 U.S. States and U.S. territoriesProven experience with multi-state and multi-jurisdiction payroll processing in the USIn-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulationsAbility to work through complex payroll queries and resolve issues in a timely mannerStrong organizational and communication skillsMust be self-motivated, proactive and take initiativeMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independentlyDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 90,075.00 - 132,110.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 72,825.00 - 106,810.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 66,600.00 - 97,680.00 USD
