Senior Payroll Tax Analyst

Functional Responsibilities

Lead timely and accurate remittance of Federal, State, and Local payroll taxes for multiple US entities within various jurisdictions.

Reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns for all tax authorities.

Consult with tax authorities to ensure timely resolution of payroll related tax issues.

Coordinate testing of tax related system improvements and modifications

Review, comprehend, implements any new or updated tax changes and impact on payroll system.

Prepare registration documents and system implementation for new authorities.

Assist with tax related general ledger reviews and discrepancies.

Coordinate and lead all aspects of year end activities.

Prepare W-2C forms, ensure amendment validation, and accounting.

Assist with preparation of data required for all Federal and State audits.

Be responsible for expatriate and inpatriate tax reporting from third party administrator.

Partner with internal teams on state grants and tax credits

Research payroll tax compliance for any new tax authorities.

Design, document, and review payroll tax processing procedures.

Participate in continued education to stay updated on legislative changes and standard processes.

Ad-hoc project support as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience within a multi-company and multi-state payroll tax environment.

In-depth knowledge of payroll tax regulations and laws.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Adaptability and mindfulness are a must.

Experience with ADP Smart Compliance strongly preferred.

Experience with SAP strongly preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CPP or FPC designation preferred.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$79,500.00 - $180,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
