The opportunity: 

We are currently sourcing Senior People Advisors to join our People and Culture team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations and People Partnering the successful incumbent will be responsible for providing generalist advice, coaching and guidance to People Leaders and employees on a variety of people matters ensuring that HR service level agreements are achieved, while providing a consistent, timely and professional service to all internal colleagues.

Within this role you will play a key role in the allocation of workflow, cases and tasks across our Tier 1 service delivery and manage the day-to-day coordination of employee’s queries. You will also work closely with the People Partner on business unit specific initiatives and to be involved in identifying efficiencies and operational improvements across the workforce.

To do this successfully you will: 

Be responsible for the coordination of workflow within the People Advisory and People Partner Processes within AIA Australia

Monitor and manage query volumes, response times and performance to SLA’s

Be responsible for case management of queries that can be complex in nature and are received through Workday or the People Advisory inbox

Support the People Partner by providing tier 1 support on people matters within specific business units, including the coordination of HR cyclical activities

Provide support to people leaders within the business with performance management and performance improvement plans including relevant documentation

Manage disciplinary processes as required involving performance or misconduct

Coordinate the end-to-end process of organisational job changes

Build and improve the quality of Tier 0 Knowledge Base Articles on Workday and ensure that they remain current, relevant and easily accessible

Conduct job gradings and collaborate with People Leaders to ensure role evaluations are accurate

Coordinate and consult with relevant stakeholders on position management

Act as a custodian of AIA’s culture and our operating philosophy of ‘Doing the Right Thing, in the Right Way, with the Right People’.

Successful applications will demonstrate: 

Previous experience in a similar role in HR service delivery

Experience using Workday HRIS will be highly regarded

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or similar

The ability to partner with People Leaders across the organisation to provide support, coaching and advice

An excellent understanding of generalist HR principles and practices with the confidence to make recommendations and improvements and implement them effectively

Experience supporting leaders with performance management, organisational design and position management

The ability to create knowledge articles, FAQs and HR processes

A results-oriented, service-driven mindset and a willingness to get hands-on when needed.
