Senior People Operations Specialist - Tokyo/Kawasaki

We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior People Operations Specialist to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

The Senior People Operations Specialist will provide the full spectrum of HR administration, support and service delivery. This role reports to the Human Resources Director, Japan.


As a Senior People Operations Specialist, you will:

Work closely with the HR Director and Japan Country Manager on inter-company integration Process accurate and timely payroll, social insurance, pension, labor insurance, year-end tax adjustment and submit report of payment in collaboration with payroll vendor Handle system (HCM) operations, management and audit: update, enter and manage transactions promptly to maintain data integrity, and generate reports as required Support the resolution of employee relations matters, address general concerns of employees and managers Manage employee on-boarding and development which encompasses new hire training and continuous learning and development within the organisation Ensure compliance to local employment regulations as well as implementation of company’s policies (Japan work rule and company-wide policies) Work with management to set compensation recommendations and help communicate market expectations  Participate and be involved in benefits plan, employee health and safety as well as HR projects and initiatives Support, coach and facilitate employees and managers on performance management – systems, process, reviews, etc.

Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience Knowledge of and understands the payroll matters and processes, social insurance, pension, labor insurance, year-end tax adjustment, etc. possessing a Certificate of Labor and Social Security Attorney (社会保険労務士) is preferred Good knowledge and understanding of local employment law and related practice Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written Hands-on person with initiative and integrity Interpersonal communication skills  Tactful in managing sensitive and confidential matters and information Independent, self-driven and responsible individual with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
