Program Description: The Program Performance and Planning (PPP) team advances a culture of learning, strategic program development, and data-driven performance management in pursuit of that mission and vision. PPP partners with program managers to select and develop new interventions, analyze and interpret data, assess model fidelity and program effectiveness, apply learning from data analysis and feedback into program improvement efforts, and develop program resources to strengthen operations and service delivery. Principal Objective/Role Overview: PPP seeks aSeniorPerformance Analyst, Youth Successto promote excellence through performance measurement, analysis, documentation reviews, report production, collecting participant feedback, synthesizing and reporting information to guide management decisions, and being a thought partner to program management on operational and programmatic improvement. This position will support all our Youth Success offerings, including Graham SLAM, Beacons, Cornerstones, and Community Schools. Graham SLAM is a youth education and career coaching program, developed in 2014. SLAM has been replicated citywide for all youth in foster care through the Fair Futures program and is seeking to reach many more youth over the next several years. Graham operates two Beacon community centers in NYC public schools (one in Harlem, one in Hunts Point), two Community Schools in those same schools, and one Cornerstone community center in a public housing complex in Manhattanville. This position will support leadership and staff making decisions to improve programmatic and operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical knowledge, superior program/data analysis capabilities and a strong understanding of how non-profit management decision making can be supported by timely and reliable data. The ideal candidate will have the ability to review, analyze, and interpret data and information, engage staff, youth, and families to gain feedback and succinctly summarize information from diverse sources, including internal and external data, focus groups, and youth & family surveys in ways that are easily understood and actionable. This position will be primarily remote, with an expectation of regular in-person workdays at our office locations in Downtown Brooklyn, as well are regular visits at other Graham sites in Manhattan and the Bronx. Job Responsibilities: + Provide support to program leadership through strategic thinking, planning and data analysis to support programmatic decisions. + Partner with program leaders in regular performance meetings to support best practices and helping program leaders gain insights and determine areas that require additional planning. + Compile data, produce regular outcomes and performance measurement reports, and summarize and interpret information to guide programmatic decision-making and strengthen program performance. + Conduct ad-hoc analyses in partnership with program leadership to help managers better understand performance concerns and successes. + Support the incident review process, high risk case review, investigatory, and related compliance and safety processes to ensure appropriate oversight and accountability of services. + Effectively communicate findings, present data in meetings, facilitate discussions and workgroups, and coach program supervisors on understanding and interpreting data. + Support the Development team by identifying, compiling, and providing data for foundation reports and requests. + Partner with program management to identify and develop additional resources and materials to support the strengthening of programmatic operations and service delivery. + Supporting program leadership and staff through ad hoc additional support that falls under the auspices of PPP functions. + Assist with report development through partnership with program leadership and IT. + Other related tasks as assigned. Qualifications Position Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience. + Experience working in performance measurement and management and conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. + Experience designing and/or conducting surveys, focus groups, and other qualitative data collection methods. + Excellent quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills including an ability to review, analyze, interpret, and succinctly summarize information from diverse sources, including documents, focus groups, and surveys. + Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of SQL a plus + Dedication to our mission and a belief that children and families can succeed regardless of their circumstances. + Experience with NYC child welfare programs, education, and/or programs for older youth a plus. + Willingness to travel throughout NYC, as needed.
