Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Performance Consultant to enhance individual and organizational performance within a learning and development context. This role will focus on supporting the Asia Pacific (AP) Growth and Functional Learning (GFL) team to drive regional sales training and enablement initiatives, with a goal of empowering and enabling AP sales teams to be more effective and efficient at what they do.

You will conduct root cause analysis, assessments, and synthesize performance data to identify skill and knowledge gaps. You will partner with the broader Visa University (VU), the People Team, and business colleagues to close those gaps by creating and deploying solutions that leverage the 3Es of development (Experience, Exposure, Education).

Reporting to the AP Head of Learning, you will be a key part of enabling the growth of Visa's sales teams. You will align and work with stakeholders across the company to advance the skills needs of Visa’s employees, from senior leaders to individual contributors across onboarding, professional, leadership, and technical skill domains.

Essential Functions

Stakeholder Management

Partner with Leadership Teams, Talent, People Business Partners and various Business Functions across levels to define performance goals and objectives.Guide business clients through goal definition, opportunity identification, and solutions using problem-solving principles.Build strong relationships, reputation, credibility, and influence with key stakeholders across the company.Collaborate within a matrixed environment and with employees from other teams and projects.Develop strategic performance improvement plans that align with business goals, leveraging existing products or creating new ones when needed.Work with the Global GFL functions and Performance Consulting Guild to develop guidelines and best practices for the role.

Consulting and Solutioning

Identify business challenges and perform root cause analysis to determine the right learning solutions to drive organizational performance.Gather data and conduct learning and performance needs analysis to identify skill or knowledge gaps and design solutions to close these gaps.Develop strong business acumen to understand the organization’s goals and how they translate into specific performance requirements.Create actionable solution designs that solve client issues, ensuring a link to business performance outcomes.Capture feedback and incorporate it into analysis and solutions.

Training Delivery & Program Management

Confidently and comfortably command a stage, be it in-person or virtual, to deliver engaging, high-impact learning/training sessions.Help our sales teams grow and become more efficient and effective through impactful training sessions.Demonstrate excellent project management skills, able to juggle multiple workstreams and projects with calm and ease.Establish efficient ways of working and manage project pipeline effectively.Coordinate and manage all aspects of a learning program end-to-end: consulting, conceptualizing, organizing, and executing with excellence.

Measurement and Reporting

Establish performance metrics and evaluation procedures to deliver impact.Track, measure, and effectively report learning program metrics and lessons learned.Iteratively improve and enhance program quality and efficiency over time.Track the tangible bottom-line business impact of those programs.

VU Ambassador

Build deep knowledge of VU’s programs and learning solutions and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).Engage in bold, strategic, and creative thinking to produce solutions inclusive of training.Display a continuous learning mindset, constantly seeking expertise in the learning discipline.Be a champion of Visa’s learning culture and values.Integrate VU into marketing and communication campaigns to drive engagement.Occasionally facilitate leadership or other VU programs.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.Detail-oriented and organized with strong planning skills.Motivated, self-directed, and creative thinker.Able to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple stakeholders.Effective multi-tasker in a fast-paced environment, meeting aggressive deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create positive relationships at all levels.Consultative orientation with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.Aptitude for interpreting data, identifying trends, and driving strategies.Strong knowledge of performance metrics and management systems.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent team collaboration, coaching, and training skills.Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in training needs analysis, diagnostics, supporting L&D solutions, and evaluation of L&D projects.Experience in or supporting business organizations, with a particular focus on sales enablement and, or in a BPO capacity.Knowledge of project management methodologies and process improvement techniques.
