We are currently looking for a Senior Permits Manager to join our team onsite in West Lafayette, IN area. The Senior Permits Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the permit application and approval process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and communicating with stakeholders (including government employees and the Authority Having Jurisdiction).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordination with the owner, Engineer of Record, Permitting Authorities, and subcontractors. It is intended to utilize international supply chain partners, therefore as offshore components and systems are planned for installation in the US location, it will be necessary to coordinate with the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager to ensure that all planned designs and installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Manage the Permit application, review, approval, and revision process, including scheduling and leading plan and document reviews to obtain all permits from the regulatory authorities for construction, in time to enable the construction schedule.As a member of the construction core team (key personnel) interface as the primary single point of contract directly with clients, owners, engineers, the Authority Having Jurisdiction, and architects.Knowledge & Skills Required:
Manage and monitor team members' activity in alignment with organizational goals. Delegate providing clear instructions and ongoing feedback. Monitor metrics and course correct as necessary while holding self and others accountable. Build relationships with key internal resources (peers, direct reports, & senior leaders). Actively listen and communicate effectively, clearly, unambiguously, and completely in both written and oral formats.Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related fieldExperience: 5+ years of experience in permit management.Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED
