Join our Global Philanthropy team and play a pivotal role in advancing inclusive economic growth across South East Asia. As a Associate, you'll leverage your expertise to build and drive strategic initiatives that align with our firm's commitment to equitable opportunities and resilient financial systems.


As a Senior Philanthropy Associate in the Global Philanthropy team, you will lead our efforts in South East Asia, contributing to the firmwide impact pillars of careers and skills, business growth and entrepreneurship and financial health. Based in Hong Kong, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deploy philanthropic capital in six markets to community partners that are testing innovative models and solutions that promote inclusive economic growth and connect people to opportunities.

Job Responsibilities: 

Develop and own strategies and programs that align local context with business priorities and JPMC firmwide impact pillars. Manage all grant relationships in South East Asia, focusing on risk mitigation and maximizing impact. Identify gaps and opportunities, develop relationships and programs with non-profit and NGO partners. Develop and present strong proposals through national, regional, and global approval processes. Ensure effective due diligence and risk analysis to protect the firm's resources and reputation. Collaborate with J.P. Morgan country management committees and cross-CR partners to build strong local oversight and business engagement. Provide regular thematic and geographic updates internally and manage opportunities for engagement. Build strong networks with relevant stakeholders to ensure work is well-positioned and visible to national and regional agendas. Identify opportunities for J.P. Morgan to amplify impact through non-financial contributions. Represent the firm in appropriate settings with public and private sector stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: 

Minimum 8 years of experience in economic inclusion, particularly in financial health, financial inclusion, microfinance, small businesses, or micro-entrepreneurship. Experience in developing and executing strategic philanthropic initiatives. Ability to think critically and strategically about program design and implementation. Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement and relationship building Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills. Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Experience in non-profit, corporate, and policy engagement; understanding of grant-making and assessing the capacity of not-for-profit organizations. Experience engaging with senior leadership on complex issues with a global mindset. Familiarity with the socio-economic landscape of South East Asia Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
