Full-Time/Night Shift

The Phlebotomist II is responsible for the accurate and timely pre-analytical functions of patient identification, blood and body fluid specimen collection and specimen labeling. The phlebotomist provides support to multiple regional laboratory personnel and is integral to maintaining the integrity of patient specimens in order to provide accurate and timely patient care.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Successful completion of a nationally accredited phlebotomy or medical assistant training program. 1 year phlebotomy related experience AND Certification / Registry (PBT, etc.) from a government agency or nationally recognized organization (e.g. ASCP, NCA), OR 3 years phlebotomy related experience. Certification or Registry (PBT, etc.) from a government agency or nationally recognized organization (e.g. ASCP, NCA) is preferred. 
Note: Industry related experience must be from an equivalent high volume, acute care laboratory performing high complexity testing.  Prefer registrar experience. Demonstrate experience with State and Federal and other regulatory Compliance regulations including Medicare Secondary Payor (MSP), EMTALA, ABN, HIPPA.

Preferred Qualifications:

Upon hire: Certification or Registry (PBT, etc.) from a government agency or nationally recognized organization (e.g. ASCP, NCA)
