POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr Photo Stylist styles and composes products to be photographed for BPS catalogs, tabs, and website projects while managing and directing the work of other stylists in the craft.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Styles/composes various projects to be photographed for BPS publications.
Manages a team of Photo Stylists.
Oversees and coordinates with the Photographers all jobs requiring a Stylist and plan work schedule accordingly.
Attends scheduled meetings with Design and Merchandisers to discuss the look and direction for upcoming projects.
Determines the best aesthetic presentation for each project.
Composes products in a way that best reflects the product features.
Works cohesively with Photographer to achieve the best possible presentation of the merchandise.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2+ years in the photography industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
A strong sense of design and style.
Good communication skills for interacting with Merchandisers and Designers.
Good understanding of photography principles.
Strong attention to detail.
Basic construction and assembly skills.
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional travel may be required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly performs computer work and sits.
Extended walking and standing on uneven terrain.
Lifts up to 50lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
