The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.

Function/Duties of Position

The Senior Performance Improvement Consultant provides leadership, business process consultation, and technical expertise in the implementation of critical OHSU-wide systems and associated processes. These efforts primarily focus on compensation, HR, and payroll processes that directly support Faculty, Clinical Associate and Advanced Practice Provider compensation. This position is expected to provide advanced internal consultation to Senior Administrative Leadership, Faculty Leadership, and Staff necessary to enhance and implement key products and services that facilitate and ensure the success of the OHSU CANDID system and the compensation processes it supports. This role interfaces with technical teams and department staff to translate business processes into technical requirements. The person in this role must also possess collaboration experience and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization to gather and document information to support critical communications necessary to implement change.

The responsibilities for this position focus on three key areas:

Business process analysis and Consultation to facilitate the effective implementation of systems and associated business processes in support of key strategic initiatives. The primary focus of these efforts is the OHSU CANDID compensation system and business processes. Change management consultation and project coordination in support of identified business process opportunities. Partner with project leadership and key stakeholders to facilitate changing existing processes and coordinating these efforts with project deliverables and timelines.Subject Matter Expert consolidating information associated with business processes, OHSU policies and any other associated information critical to the long-term success of deliverables in support of assigned strategic initiatives. For CANDID this includes processes and policy that apply to the collection, refinement and ongoing management of relevant OHSU faculty and provider information. Required Qualifications

Education:

 

Bachelor's Degree in information technology, healthcare, science, business, engineering, or statistics. Evidence of relevant continuing education in the area of performance improvement and project management. 

 

Experience:

7 years of experience in performance improvement and/or project management

Job Related Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrate through previous position responsibilities:Strong training skills and facilitation abilitiesEvidence within last 2 years of Project Management skills working with teams requiring self-direction and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Examples within the last two years of projects showing evidence of detail oriented and superb organizational skillsAbility to work as a team memberExpertise in office automation computer software including word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheet, flow diagram and statistical programs.Basic understanding of statistical and data analysis.Experience using Oracle ERP, specifically HR, Payroll or related componentsExperience with business process and analysis and consultation related to strategic initiativesKnowledge of compensation, HR, and payroll processes, reporting concepts, and standard metricsFamiliar with business processes associated with IT and HRIS system integrationsExperience leading efforts to gather and document information related to critical communications necessary to implement changeExperience working with technical teams to translate technical requirements to the business All are welcome Oregon Health & Science University values a diverse and culturally competent workforce.
