Role Description

As part of our Programme and Project Management team, you’ll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable, with some of the best talent around. With your energy, agility and a keen eye for detail, you’ll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients every day.

Role Accountabilities

Individually contribute to and manage small to medium scale projects or programmes of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines Operate as a competent professional within a single area of work with little supervision, and oversee the work produced by more junior staff under the supervision of a Team Leader Oversee an agreed scope of work and/or the operational workload of a team; ensuring allocated work is completed/resources are fully utilised in order to deliver against an agreed programme of work Work within established financial systems to independently produce plans and schedules and track and manage budgets, highlighting variances in order to manage and control project delivery targets Deliver a number of small to large scale projects or programmes of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources and budgets to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines Present any project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and ensure the delivery of projects to compliant standards Use own knowledge and experience of industry best practice to review and analyse project processes and policies, providing insightful recommendations that support senior management to improve processes and systems Interact effectively and proactively across the organisation, seeking to develop ways to support collaboration and ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet internal customer expectations Advise senior management on issues relating to own project, providing subject matter advice in order to support successful delivery in line with project objectives and strategies Ensure QA checking process in place for all projects Manage and support regional counterparts for delivery of a project or low number of projects with reasonable complexity up to circa £40m in value - to budget, quality and time metrics Setting project delivery approach and plan in consultation with key stakeholders Establishing project delivery plans and appropriate control mechanisms to assure delivery Responsible for performance management of GEC project team / resource Possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff to support smaller less complex projects or elements of larger less complex projects Typically assigned to provide a substantial role for single discipline on smaller less complex projects or elements of larger less complex projects Work under supervision although may be expected to mentor a Planner, Assistant Planner or Trainee Planner

Qualifications & Experience

Have a BSc Eng, Diploma in PM or equivalent in a relevant discipline At least 5 years of construction experience in consultancy or contracting. Working towards a Project Maangement, Program Management or similar professional accreditation Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ideally possess proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI). Advance proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project and Primavera 6). Potentially have experience using programme analysis tools (e.g. XER Toolkit, Acumen Fuse or similar) Potentially have experience with 4D BIM and the use of Synchro Pro or Navisworks tools Can build master programmes from scratch, including logic links and adding any necessary resource and cost loading Able to monitor project progress and advise on how to mitigate delay. Can undertake forensic delay analysis. Can review gateway checklist and obtain approval to proceed at each gateway Has experience working throughout RIBA Stages of Work Experience with preparing Design Programme and Construction Programme
