We are currently recruiting for a new Senior Planner to join our Utilities team in Victoria. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Senior Planner will undertake the day to day preparation of work packages and deliver the program of works. The role is accountable for leading the change in the planning team as well as taking an active role In the PMO meetings.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Support the development of the works delivery methodology Provide high level advice and support to team members in undertaking tasks and implementing plans as required Documents lessons learned and recurring issues experienced to drive positive change. Ensure that all identified risks to the block schedule and planned works are communicated and escalated in a timely manner, taking accountability for seeking solutions Effective work preparation in this context means that work crews can arrive on the planned date and can commence and complete the full scope of the planned work without delay or rework, within the allocated time Prepare all work to the stage that it is delivery reviewed, and all preparation and planning completed prior to handing over the Field Delivery Manager for execution Effectively package work as per the agreed standard Effectively deliver smart packaging, to minimise travel time, to reduce minutes of supply, to minimise customer complaints, to ensure resource utilisation to meet KPI’s Prepare all required documents as required to develop robust planning folders for field delivery. Ensure the works folders meet all standards as required Undertake all necessary system transactional processes to support works preparation Ensure materials are planned effectively and secured Ensure all required authorities are notified of the planned worksABOUT YOU
Certificate III in ESI and / or Project Management desirable, or other relevant qualification Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, GIS (I-View) Mapping A minimum of 7 years working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks Experience in the preparation and lodgement of switching sheets Ability to make decisions, accept responsibility, autonomy and accountability Self-managing & self-motivated Good problem solving and issue resolution skillsWHAT WE OFFER
