Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planner to join our team! In this role, you will get to develop, establish, and maintain all aspects of the planning/scheduling processes and effort on one or more of the larger, more complex and demanding projects / programs. Incumbent utilizes his/her broad experience, expertise, and exposure to various types of company projects and clients.
 

What You'll Be Doing:

Review, analyze, build and create planning/scheduling processes for projects / programs around industry standards.Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project scheduling problems.Interface with clients and consultants, attend regular meetings, and present information as requested.Prepare, review and analyze the Master Schedule of a complex large program including multiple projects.Monitor the work progress, compared to the accepted program of work.Evaluate, and forecast project progress and performance against the established accepted / amended schedule with critical milestones.Prepare various types of reports as required by the client.Accumulate and access historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.Develop or maintain an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keep project and company management fully informed.Mentoring junior planner teaching and supporting them in industry best practices and standards.Support development of complex interface and migration strategy planningMay lead in the:
·         Development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments.
·         Analysis, evaluation, forecast, and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline
·         Analysis, evaluation, and forecast of project costs and performance

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 7+ years of related work experience.Basic Engineering knowledge in construction, civil engineering, or a related fieldProficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software (P6 EPPM) and Microsoft Office SuiteThe potential to perform in a lead capacityFamiliar with industry practicesExcellent written and oral communication skills
