This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion. This position is in the Investment Planning Unit in MnDOT's Central Office. MnDOT estimates spending $37 billion on construction over 20 years. The position will work with MnDOT staff from across the state to align those investments with the department's vision of a multimodal transportation system that maximizes the health of people, the environment, and our economy. Work will include supporting: + Asset management planning, including the Transportation Asset Management Plan + Development of the 10-year Capital Highway Investment Plan + Research, analysis, and outreach to align investments with statewide goals + Updates to the Minnesota State Highway Investment Plan **Minimum Qualifications** Three years of professional transportation planning experience that demonstrates: + Experience with planning principles or data analysis. + Experience using spreadsheet or database applications. + Experience conducting public engagement. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, Political Science substitutes for one year of experience. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in GIS for mapping, creating graphics, and spatial analysis. + Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications (InDesign & Illustrator). **Additional Requirements** **Successful candidate must pass past-employer reference checks and criminal history check** It is our policy that all candidates submit to a background investigation prior to employment.
