Job Summary:

Trane Technologies is hiring a Sr. Value Stream Coach for our Clarksville, TN Commercial HVAC Americas Plant!

The Operational Excellence, Sr. Value Stream Coach is the senior operational excellence role within our Trane Clarksville, TN location and reports directly to the Commercial Americas business unit operational excellence leader.  This role will partner directly with the plant manager and site leadership to drive the lean transformation within the site to create customer value.  The Sr. Value Stream Coach will develop a team of capable operational excellence professionals to foster a continuous improvement mindset & build systems that drive ideal behavior.

Responsibilities: 

Coach and develop functional and operations leaders from the front line to senior managers to build a world class lean enterpriseCoach and develop the full time OpEx change leaders to grow their OpEx knowledge, coaching and change management capabilities  Coach all key contributors daily during formal gemba walks on developing a highly effective (standard & stable) Daily Management Excellence systemIncrease problem solving capability at the site to achieve incremental improvements in SQDIP metrics by improving systemDrive transformational change focused on management through Value Stream Analysis & Mission Control improvement systemEnable a highly engaged, high performing culture with foundational focus on leading with humility and respect for peopleWork with the site leadership to develop value stream maps that establish future state targets on elimination of non-value adding waste and reduction of cycle timesWorks with the Product Growth Teams to develop strategies and plans to improve customer value of the targeted product lines Lead, Facilitate & coach the transformation plan that attacks the appropriate levers to maximize margin expansion, with a primary focus on growth and leverageWorks with OPEX lean enterprise and the site training department to develop and deliver programs to teach the workforce on lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as problem solving, A3 management, leader as coach, Kanban/pull systems, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, visual management, mistake proofing, 5S and cellular manufacturingWorks with value stream team to prioritize the continuous improvement activities identified and approvedWorks with OpEx Core team to ensure rigor around the pre-work, post work and conducting of the rapid improvement events.Ensure compliance within the value stream with standard processes and standard tools, helps the value stream team develop and follow their personal leader standard work, and helps develop a culture of process discipline around operators and salary associates following process standard workAssists Product Management Leaders and Project Managers in new product introduction and team related project completionSupports and meets Departmental, Plant and Corporate EHS goals. Works in a safe and efficient manner

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree or related discipline desired (or equivalent education/ training/ experience)Minimum of 10 years of documented world class lean manufacturing experienceKnowledge of lean manufacturing related safety requirementsKnowledge of personal computer applications required (Excel, Word, Visio, and PP). Excellent Team Facilitation SkillsExtensive Gemba based continuous improvement-based tools/techniques. Excellent documented leadership skillsExcellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management and productionAbility to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environmentExperience leading teams and facilitating cross functional events and workshopsAbility to create strategy and execute tactical action plans to achieve goals and objectivesDemonstrated ability to motivate, coach and empower team members to be their bestAble to mentor and facilitate lean culture change in an environment with varying acceptance

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive

Annual Base Pay Range - $150,000 - $175,000

 

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
