As a Senior Platform Engineer at Stackdriver, you will play a key role in driving the architecture and implementation of the key infrastructure components of our SaaS application. You will collaborate to design and build the storage, query, and analysis layers for a service that collects and analyzes hundreds of millions of data points per day. You will work with cloud services, cutting-edge databases, and other technologies used in highly-available fault-tolerant, scale-out distributed systems to solve big data problems related to the monitoring and analysis of SaaS applications run by our customers. Requirements You love working with a talented team of seasoned engineers. You have experience with core computer science algorithms and data structures. You have a systems background and several years experience building large systems, especially highly-available, fault-tolerant, scale-out distributed systems. You have an understanding of and experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, HBase, or MongoDB. You are proficient in one or more of the following programming languages CC, Java, or Python. Additional Pluses You want to build systems that address all aspectsvolume, velocity, and varietyof big data problems. You can identify trends and anomalies to extract meaning from large numbers of time-series data sets. You have experience with event stream processing ESP or complex event processing CEP systems like Storm or S4 You are familiar with public cloud infrastructure technologies and have deployed or operated applications running there You have an active github profile with your work.
