We support two Data Centers, 15,000 Distributed platforms, 24 Mainframe Regions, a secure and reliable Network connecting all the technology across the bank footprint and process approximately 635,000 automated jobs per month. In addition to that foundational technology level, we own the operational support processes, monitoring and command center that provide a unified, well-managed technology response when issues arise. We deliver innovative, and compelling technology solutions, in partnership with our line of business CIOs, to enhance the internal customer experience that enables our business partners to deliver.** **We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer with a passion for automation and experience with advanced-level engineering experience to join our talented IT team. In this position you will play a crucial role in modernizing our Database platform offerings and spearheading transformation efforts in collaboration with our App Dev partners. A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate experience-based knowledge in Oracle and/or SQL Database Administration, infrastructure automation tooling, mentoring teammates, learning new current edge technologies, and be a great communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills.** **Primary Responsibilities:** **Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement across the organization.** **Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.** **Develop and implement automation solutions for database deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.** **Collaborate with internal tech teams to identify opportunities to mature the bank's database ecosystem.** **Participate in the bank's DB COE as an Oracle/SQL DB and provide subject matter expertise to the bank's database community.** **Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization to meet business requirements and SLAs.** **Troubleshoot database-related issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.** **Establish and enforce database policies and procedures.** **Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices for database administration and automation.** **Keep current with the latest technologies and be willing to share knowledge with others on the team.** **Education and Experience:** **Associate’s degree and a minimum of 8 years’ RDBMS experience,** **OR in lieu of a degree,** **A combined minimum of 10 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 8 years’ RDBMS experience** **(Masters preferred)** **Proficiency in SQL/Oracle, experience with relational database management systems.** **Hands-on experience with database automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).** **Experience delivering in an Agile methodology. The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
