Job Description:

The Platform Engineering team manages the platform layer in our global cloud environments that serve data and analytics use cases and application development across Mars.

The Senior Platform Engineer role will be responsible for the introduction of new technologies and automation of services. They will play a crucial role in the conception, implementation, and roll out of new solutions to meet the multi-dimensional needs of our customers, enabling our businesses to pursue aggressive digital strategies.

What are we looking for?

University degree in the field of Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience with cloud engineering and/or software developmentExperience building and deploying services in the cloud, ideally AzureProficiency in multiple coding languages, with a strong preference for hands-on technical experienceComfortable implementing both open-source frameworks and enterprise applicationsStrong leadership capabilities, with a collaborative approach to building and maintaining high-performing teamsSolid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership

What will be your key responsibilities?

Manage a diverse portfolio of projects and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standardsOversee the technical direction of projects, from microservices architectures to global platform deploymentsDesign and develop tools that enable our customers to build out more efficient, scalable, and advanced data and analytics solutionsInterface with senior leadership and cross functional teams to articulate technical strategiesBecome a subject matter expert in new technologies introduced to the platformLeverage product management frameworks to flesh out business requirements
