The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer - Azure API Management (APIM).
In this role, you will be responsible for the designing, implementing, and managing API solutions using Azure API Management (APIM).
Your expertise in managing and operating APIM platforms, combined with proficiency in OpenAPI specifications and Swagger, is essential. Additionally, skills in JWT, OAuth 2.0, mTLS, and Azure APIM policies are required. Experience with Postman, certificate/SSL handling, a strong understanding of APIOps and DevOps practices, and familiarity with developing APIs in any programming language are also important.
Good understanding of Azure cloud networking and routing and experience with managing Entra ID tenant, Azure Application Gateway and Azure Kubernetes are highly desirable. Additionally, you will actively participate in production support, on-call rotations, and risk management compliance.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement API solutions using Azure API Management.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and understand API Platform and infrastructure requirements.
Apply Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of Azure APIM resources.
Implement APIOps and DevOps pipelines for seamless API deployment.
Support day-to-day APIM Platform operations, including monitoring, fixing, and optimization.
Manage API policies to JWT and OAuth 2.0 for API security.
Implement client certificates and mutual TLS validation for enhanced API security.
Implement JWT validation with Microsoft Entra ID.
Possess a solid understanding of Azure cloud, Key vaults, NSG, Firewalls, Application gateways.
Provide production support, including on-call rotations, to ensure API availability and performance.
Proficiency in Postman for API testing and development.
Demonstrate knowledge in certificates and SSL for secure API communication.
Work closely with development teams to ensure APIs are in line with organizational standards.
Software engineering and programming experience is an advantage.

What we are looking for
Experience with Azure APIM and API Lifecycle Management within Azure APIM.
Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing a production-grade Azure APIM platform.
Experience in setting up and configuring Azure APIM from scratch.
Multi-API Management experience including proven ability to manage APIM platforms that span multiple regions.
Experience managing a platform large set of APIs (more than a dozen.
Experience integrating Azure APIM with other Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and App Services.
Strong understanding and experience in configuring API security within Azure APIM, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Experience setting up monitoring solutions to optimize the performance of APIs managed in Azure APIM.
Experience implementing and testing disaster recovery solutions for Azure APIM to ensure business continuity.
Experience in managing and optimizing costs associated with Azure APIM, particularly in a multi-region setup.
Proficiency in implementing role-based access control (RBAC) within APIM deployments to manage permissions and access.

HybridSalary range is expected to be between
