The Senior Portfolio Risk Specialist will be working with a large volume of internal and benchmarking data using various informational systems and applications to deliver analyses on portfolio credit performance and quality as well as client behavior. The Senior Portfolio Risk Specialist will produce periodic reports and participate in various investigations and projects aimed at developing communications for senior internal and external audiences that summarize the retail risk management strategy in the context of industry trends, the competitive environment, regulatory changes, and the economy. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you’ll succeed** + **In-depth Analysis** - Conduct high-quality quantitative analyses that deliver insights of portfolio dynamics as well as client profiles and behaviors. + **Strategic Insights** - Translate business questions into detailed analytical data-driven answers. Participate in identifying opportunities to enhance CIBC’s retail risk strategies. Couple knowledge of the industry and economy with a good understanding of CIBC products, processes and systems to produce a comprehensive view on portfolios and clients. + **Industry and Competitor Understanding** – Use all available benchmarking tools and applications to provide insights on the retail credit market. Support analyses to better understand results and performance of other players on the market. + **Executive Communication** – Closely work with various levels and teams and develop reports and presentations to executive audiences summarizing the retail risk strategy. + **Relationship Management –** Foster working relationships with business partners to create a collaborative atmosphere. Cultivate new relationships aimed at creating solutions to common objectives. + **Portfolio Communication -** Ability to create analyses and package into presentations and communicate to the end users (executives).
