Senior Power BI Developer
Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced Power BI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Power BI developer your responsibilities will be:

1. Data Modeling: Develop and maintain robust data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
2. Report Development: Design, develop, and optimize interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.
3. Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow.
4. Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, utilizing best practices in data visualization.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver customized solutions.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries, report specifications, and user guides.
7. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, helping them to leverage Power BI tools effectively.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

1. 6 +years of experience in business intelligence development, with a strong focus on Power BI.
2. Highly Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices.
3. Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
4. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
5. Strong communication skills (technical descriptions and diagramming, escalation, written, in-person, adaptive as appropriate to the audience, etc.)
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
9. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
10. “Strong opinions, lightly held” Willingness to own, research, and argue your points of view, bring new ideas to the table, but deliver according to consensus and expectations.

Required Level of Education (include certifications):

1. University or Technical Diploma in IT discipline with equivalent experience.
2. Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is a plus.
3. Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake).
