About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Manager to join the team and lead our corporate PR efforts. This person will be responsible for managing high-impact, integrated B2B media relations campaigns to support our overall brand and business objectives. 


A successful candidate for this role should have in-depth media relations expertise, including but not limited to, securing top-tier, technology, and trade press opportunities, driving influential stories from beginning to end, executing press strategy for CloudBees and industry events, and engaging traditional and non-traditional influencers, and working with customers to develop compelling narratives. The role will work across multiple teams, resulting in a steady cadence of press coverage, engagement, and awareness of CloudBees’ transformational impact in the industry.


A high performer with a growth mindset, who is both collaborative and autonomous, the ideal candidate will have strong relationships with key media, and experience managing and working with external agencies.


What You’ll Do

Creating and executing proactive, creative, and integrated PR campaigns that align with CloudBees’s category and product leadership goalsIn partnership with PR agency, developing a thought leadership program to secure  speaking engagements and interviews for key executives at industry conferences, webinars, and podcasts.Developing high-level media strategies that align resources and create a cadence of press opportunities that elevate the CloudBees story with reportersManaging complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high judgment and professionalismManaging relationships with reporters and influencers across tech and DevOps industryDeveloping stories with customers and partners about their journey to CloudBees and use of CloudBee’s servicesCultivating relationships with customer PR teams, top-tier business, tech, and trade reportersCrafting compelling story ideas, content, and messagingLeading media programs around CloudBees-owned and industry/customer/partner eventsManaging PR agencies

What the Role Requires

8+ years of technology PR experience.Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectivelyAbility to thrive in a collaborative environment and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job doneAn entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomouslyCreativity and bias for actionExcellent written and oral communications skillsStrategic thinking, analytical and organizational skills, and excellence in tactical executionBackground in working with open source communities.Experience working with PR agencies and contractors.

Bonus Points:

Familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps and/or engineering-driven initiatives.Understanding of the software development landscape.
