We have an exciting opportunity on the Building Construction Products (BCP) pricing team for a Senior Pricing Consultant.  This role will focus on key merchandising strategies and support for ADSD-N and will work closely with the ADSD-N industry team, commercial managers, as well as product pricing.   In this role, you will develop strategic recommendations for the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing/merchandising strategies with a high level of direct involvement with senior leaders and high level of independence.

What You Will Do:

Analyzes, interprets and communicates a wide variety of data (economic and competitive environment, revenue and profitability, and historical forecasted sales, prices, discounts and price realization) to draw business insights and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitabilityDevelops advanced strategic pricing recommendations for new and existing products and services to drive value-based pricingProvides thought leadership to key stakeholders in the development of pricing strategies for new and existing products and servicesExecutes strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework to implement future price changes

What You Have:

Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Top Candidates will also have:

2+ years of prior Global Machine Pricing (GMP) ExperienceStrong analytical skillsEffective communication skills, both written and oralAbility to work collaboratively across multiple groups and various levels of the organizationWillingness to take on challenges of fast-paced sales environmentKnowledge of dealer machine sales processExperience with Snowflake and SQL preferred

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
