This Senior Pricing Consultant role within the Digital Applications & Support team in Global Machine Pricing (GMP), will serve as the pricing and merchandising subject matter expert for Caterpillar’s SAP solutions called Mach 1 and Commercial Order Optimization (COO). Major responsibilities include serving as the key point of contact relating to application support issues, analysis and issues resolution. This role will be engaged in Mach 1/COO deployments, gap analysis and solution development. This posting is open to candidates working from Peoria, Illinois or Cary, North Carolina offices. **What you will do:** + Provide business process support for pricing analysts using Mach 1/COO, serving as the first point of contact + Perform analysis of complex problems within Mach 1/COO, Snowflake and middleware solutions; performing corrective resolutions where required + Serve as the liaison between GMP’s business users, Caterpillar IT and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and development of solutions + Act as a subject matter expert for Mach 1/COO blueprinting and deployment activities + Responsible for new facility deployment testing, as well as release testing, ensuring data quality and appropriate data mapping + Responsible for providing knowledge transfer/training where applicable + Responsible for additional smaller project work as assigned + Perform monthly compliance and data auditing processes + Limited travel required (< 10% of working time) **What you will have:** + **Education and Experience:** Bachelor degree or equivalent concentrated in information technology, business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, business computer systems, analytics, or related fields; 6-8 years of job-related experience; Prior work experience in Pricing or IT related job role + **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. + **Data Gathering & Analysis:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. + **Problem Solving:** Identifying & understanding issues and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. + **Relationship Management:** Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. **Top Candidates Will Have:** + Mach 1/COO experience + SAP Sales and Distribution module experience + Prior experience in system design, deployment or support + Familiarity with pricing systems and processes + Understanding of Caterpillar IT and IT partners + Knowledge of Order to Cash scenario process \#LI **Summary Pay Range:** $126,000.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
