**Job Title:** Senior Pricing Manager
**Salary/Grade:** £95,000 - £105,000 per annum (depending on experience)
**Location** : Peterborough (hybrid - 3 days a week in office)

**The opportunity**
As a Senior Pricing Manager, you will lead a team of pricing professionals who are developing global as-a-service and asset sale pricing strategies for defined industry segments. You will lead the team which develops and manages new as-a-service customer commercial agreements and establish processes to support and manage bespoke agreements. You will be part of the team that measures and reports on the on-going profitability of these services.
This is a high visibility role, leading a global pricing team within Caterpillar, where you will play an integral part in ensuring customers are supported through the energy transition. You will be at the forefront of building solutions for cutting-edge technology for our customers.
**What you will do:**
+ Analyse and forecast the profit impact and or sales variance of proposed pricing actions while providing consultation to key business partners.
+ Involved in activities to manage total pricing procedures and compliance while ensuring timely response to market business partners and market conditions.
+ Manage and supervise pricingconsultants to support the development of pricing strategies for products and services for specific business segments and currencies based on selected business models.
+ Develop and apply customer agreements for specific business segments based on selected business models.
+ Continually improve customer agreements and pricing strategies based on targeted learning.
+ Lead deal teams to establish pricing and agreements for bespoke deals to support internal partners in specific business segments.
+ Support the delivery of componentand machine NPI programs as required, including the development of new product and service requirements to support our commercial strategies.
**What you have:**
Pricing Competency - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Knowledge of building as-a-service pricing strategies for associated products and services.
+ Demonstrable knowledge of modelling and building service agreements for large enterprise customers.
+ Competent in developing pricing strategies for products and services.
+ Knowledge of building a subscription pricing model.
Data Gathering & Analysis - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Lead a teamin collecting and analysingmarket pricing data.
+ Leads the development of data analysis and price comparisons.
Strategic Thinking - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
+ Interprets available data and analyses when creating pricing plans.
+ Recommends ways to position the organization for long-term competitiveness.
+ Prepares the group's response to key marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities.
Relationship Management - Level Working Knowledge:
+ Provides prompt and effective responses to intercompany leadershiprequests and interactions.
+ Monitors client satisfaction levels on a regular basis.
+ Alerts team to problems in intercompany satisfaction.
+ Works with partnersto address critical issues and resolve major problems.
Effective Communications - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence internally across the business.
+ Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language.
+ Ensures important messages are clearly understood by team and leadership.
+ Coaches team memberson methods of improving their own communications.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Level Extensive Experience:
+ Assesses and validates decision options and predicts their potential impact.
+ Leadsothers in analysing and synthesising relevant data and assessing alternatives.
**Top candidates will also have:**
+ Experience in electrification and electrified products and services.
+ Degree in Business (Finance, Economics, Marketing etc.) or Engineering.
**Additional** **information:**
This position is likely to require up to 40% travel for predominately internal meetings.
