We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workforce Solutions team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two to three days a week in the office.

Grow Mercer’s public sector HR solutions portfolio in the NSW and ACT markets.Provide strategic HR consulting advice and direct the delivery of key rewards projects.Engage and develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government and public sector entities.Proactively contribute to the public sector and workforce solutions practices’ strategy and direction, working closely with other Principals, Practice and Sector Leaders to achieve business goals and outcomes.Develop the NSW and ACT public sector markets and Mercer’s positioning as an expert workforce solutions advisorBuild and manage strong client relationships across key public sector clientsIdentify and develop opportunities to grow new business with both existing and new public sector clients.Lead business development and client relationship management activities to achieve revenue growthLead rewards solution design and project delivery to ensure optimal outcomes for clients and Mercer.Provide trusted advice to senior level public sector clients on complex, significant and/or sensitive issues.Demonstrate thought leadership through providing strategic consulting advice, developing POV’s, and speaking at conferences/ client events.Actively develop own and other’s capability through informal and formal learning opportunities.What you need to have:
Proven track record developing and sustaining business with public sector clientsDemonstrated experience identifying public sector client needs, developing appropriate solutions and successfully selling significant scale consulting interventionsExtensive experience in managing complex projects with a public sector HR focus, including stakeholder management, solution design, directing project delivery, managing quality of client deliverables, and managing commercial aspects of project deliveryAble to develop “trusted advisor” relationships with public sector C-Suite level executivesAdopts a public sector C-Suite perspective to organisation, people, and workforce solutions challengesAble to design and implement a variety of solutions, programs and interventions within a public sector contextAble to work collaboratively with colleagues in other service areas on new and extended business development activities, client relationship management and delivery of integrated solutionsWell-developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage, build rapport, “carry the conversation” and present recommendations at the senior executive or board level.Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks which impact service offerings and solutions Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people.
