Senior Principal Consultant – Database Administrator (Oracle and Postgres)

Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant – Database Administrator (Oracle and Postgres)
We are looking for Oracle Apps DBA to join our Database Operations team that works 24x7x365 to ensure our critical systems are up and serving our customers round the clock. The candidate should have the strong mindset to look at the bigger picture, think over and beyond, suggest steps to gain greater control over complex systems.
In this role, the Candidate is responsible for proactively monitoring the key dashboards, analyzing the events and resource contentions and troubleshooting them in a timely manner, provide solutions for resolving them before they create a widespread impact. This role requires strong hands-on experience in database installation, configuration, administration and routine scheduled activities such as patching, backup and recovery, Ops work pockets and performance tuning to quickly understand end to end application flow..

Responsibilities
o Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune and maintain the Oracle E-business Suite on different versions and 11g/12c/19c Oracle databases
o Handling EBS instances and daily Operational work packets including adop concepts, dual file system architecture, FMW concepts, PCP, concurrent managers, workflow, layout of application
o Contribution in Database development and programming, primarily responsible for design, program, develop and implement database systems
o Oracle E-business 12i application support and Oracle databases administration.
o Serve as strong technical team member for enhancements or problem resolutions.
o Analyze, design, develop, test and implement application enhancements
o Deploy code and setup changes to production.
o Perl, Shell, Sql PL/Sql scripting for Alerts, Monitoring, Reporting Auditing
o HA environments Install, configure and troubleshoot and standalone databases migrations from lower to higher versions, Database Backup Recovery and Performance Tuning
o Analyze, solve, and prepare RCA for production outages. Debug and troubleshoot database system failures and provide solutions quickly
o Implementation of database maintenance plans, including rebuilding/reorganizing indexes, integrity checks and improve database performance, slow running queries / processing
o Perform infrastructure service implementations, performance analysis and optimization, monitoring, problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation
o Manage relationship with customers to understand customer and project needs and priorities
o Work with various product/application teams across the company
o Understand the product architecture and prepare Service Improvement for efficiency.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Rich experience on multiple database technologies, primarily Oracle and Postgres.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering quality work.
• Ability to multitask under pressure, prioritize work based on criticality and severity.
• Should be flexible and open to work in 24x7 environment in any shifts, willing to work on holidays, over weekends.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Strong communicator – English in spoken and written form.
• Manage relationship with customers to understand customer and project needs and priorities
• Work with various product/application teams across the company
• Understand the product architecture and prepare Service Improvement for efficiency.
