This Contracts Administrator Senior Principal role will provide an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with responsibility for managing your own contracts and supporting multiple millions of dollars of proposal activity. This role involves interfacing with all levels of management and functions (Program Office, Finance, Operations, Quality, etc.) within BAE Systems as well as with our USN Customer and some commercial customers. As the Senior Principal Contracts Administrator, you will work with internal team members and our customers to shape and close business opportunities in concert with internal Norfolk Ship Repair objectives. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Consistently work on and provide guidance on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues as well as an understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures. + Ability to interact with the team to gather, interpret, analyze, and develop recommended strategies and present information. + Compliance with Company policies and procedures, legal, regulatory and customer requirements. + Prepare, negotiate and manage complex proposals and contracts. + Provide guidance to the Program and Operation teams on government and commercial contracting solutions. + Cross functional collaboration with Program Management, Finance, Operations and Quality teams. Because this role involves collaborative/in-person work, it is a full-time onsite position. Location: This position is located in Norfolk, VA. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of DoD contracting experience. + Strong hands-on knowledge of, and experience with, FAR and DFAR regulations. + Proven ability to lead and close complex negotiations. + Experience with agreements to support business development, program management and engineering development teams (ex. NDAs, teaming agreements, etc.). + Experience dealing with the US Government and major maritime industry companies, as your customer. + Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to prepare letters, spreadsheets and presentations. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience with the complex RFP's, and large proposal development. + Experience with various USG agencies (especially the US Navy). + Experience with export regulations **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $105835 - $179920 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
