Senior Principal Electrical Engineer – Consultant

We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer in power electronics and control systems for the Commercial Lasers research and development group. This position consults the R&D teams in the development of high-power electronics for the all related product developments. It includes close collaboration with the program managers, design leads and direct manager.

Responsibilities include:

Develop product specifications, schedules and roadmaps.Design system architectures for new products and product linesDesign control systems in both continuous and discrete domains to meet rigorous stability and rise/fall specifications.Circuit design and evaluation: analog, digital, power supplies, programmable devices.Schematic capture and PCB layout.Develop test plans and perform design verification testingResolve complex signal integrity and EMC problemsCollaborate with NPI teams to document and release all aspects of design to production.

  

Required skills:

MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering12+ years relevant experienceSwitching power supply designControl theory / digital control systems design. DSP algorithms, Analog signal processing.Experience with power components: MOSFET, GaN, SIC devicesExperience with magnetics design.C programming expertise, including efficient, real-time programmingMastery of digital and analog circuit design and debugExcellent written and verbal communications skillsVHDL or Verilog and FPGA experience is desired

Pay Range:

P80-USA-1 :$138,600.00 - $198,000.00
