Your role at Baxter:At Baxter Healthcare Corporation, we are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer who can tap into their expertise in engineering to drive excellence in our chemical plant operations. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing processes, improving yields, and ensuring flawless implementation of quality standards.

What you'll be doingCalculate and monitor chemical plant yield and mass balance to ensure efficient performance.Evaluate and implement process and system optimization to improve yields, plant efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.Conduct process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) to maintain rigorous quality standards.Coordinate the reactions and column performance, providing detailed instructions for their operation.Ensure accurate entry of mass balance data within the system.Support performance processes including yield, overheads, finished goods, and work in process, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.Analyze monthly process performance results, determine necessary actions, and complete financial explanations.Revise and build plant documents such as MBRs, SOPs, manuals, special protocols, PFMEA, and other related documents. Provide training to manufacturing personnel.Implement improvements and manage projects in compliance with change control systems, including Green and Black Belt projects, in collaboration with R&D and Technical Services.Conduct Continued Process Verification (CPV) and complete necessary process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).Address NCRs related to manufacturing processes and complete CAPA requirements. Prepare Annual Product Report (APR) data as scheduled.Troubleshoot equipment issues using problem-solving tools, Delta V system, and P&IDs.Participate in PSM/RMP meetings and fulfill associated commitments.What you'll bringBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a Science-related field with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken.Strong knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211, ICH Q7A, Eudralex, and other regulations applicable to API & FG Anesthetics.Comprehensive OSHA & EHHS knowledge.Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).In-depth understanding of chemical processes and equipment in chemical plants.Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven project management capabilities.Expertise in technical writing and reporting.Familiarity with process and equipment validations.Ability to interpret and convert various units of measure.Competence in understanding technical drawings.Basic troubleshooting skills for machines, software platforms, and equipment.Expertise in Lean Six Sigma tools.Strong negotiation skills.Knowledge of TPM (Total Predictive Maintenance) and TPR (Total Process Reliability).Join our dedicated team at Baxter Healthcare Corporation and be part of our mission to improve healthcare outcomes for patients worldwide.
