They will then be able to clearly, concisely, and professionally present, demonstrate, and prove the solution and the value they bring to the customer. The Senior Principal Presales Consultant – Operations is an integral and highly visible member of the Presales team. They will be a key contributor to the growth of the business within the region, providing outstanding consultancy and pre-sales support. Primarily working with the regional sales teams, the position also requires close interaction with product management, product development, and marketing, as well as customer support and services. This position reports directly to the market presales leader. **Responsibilities** + Define the customer-specific solution based on requirements and alignment with AVEVA Operations products, including AVEVA PI System and AVEVA Monitoring & Control offer (System Platform, HMI, SCADA, MES). + Present the solution using a blend of presentation and live demonstration. + Lead pre-sales activities relating to preliminary solution architecture definition, incorporating software architecture principles. + Design and validate solution architectures that meet customer requirements, ensuring feasibility and scalability. + Support definition workshops involving cross-functional teams to define the solution architecture, system-level interfaces, and data flows. + Conduct value consulting sessions to identify and quantify the business value that the proposed solutions can deliver to the customer. + Contribute to the technical proposal, ensuring it addresses all architectural considerations and customer needs. + Support proof of values and/or pilots, ensuring alignment with the proposed architecture. + Be a critical input channel to product management and marketing on any aspect of the products, marketplace, and most importantly, the customer perspective. + Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment with overall enterprise architecture. + Manage and coordinate the ecosystem, including Distributors, Partners, and System Integrators, to ensure effective delivery of solutions and services. **Skills & Qualifications** + Overall experience of +15 years in the industrial software space. + Manufacturing Industry knowledge and thorough working knowledge of products and solutions within the industrial operation domain. + In-depth knowledge of the AVEVA PI System and AVEVA Monitoring & Control offer (System Platform, HMI, SCADA, MES). + Ability to support complex hybrid architecture from edge to cloud. + Proven experience in designing and implementing solution architectures for large-scale industrial projects. + Ability to support cross-functional definition workshops involving people from the business, business systems, IT, and factory floor domains. + Experience in developing detailed design documents and architectural specifications. + Can respond creatively to a wide variety of customers' needs and requirements and understand them in terms of our capabilities. + Understands the positioning of the AVEVA solutions portfolio and can use this knowledge to design the most appropriate architecture and technology based on AVEVA’s portfolio. + Experience with process and data definitions and flows at an enterprise level. This involves taking a big-picture process/data view. + Strong problem-solving aptitude and readiness to accept new challenges to manage internal and external customer expectations. + Proven ability to manage and coordinate with Distributors, Partners, and System Integrators to ensure successful project delivery. + Good communication skills in English and French. + AVEVA Products Certification (an asset). + Microsoft Certification (an asset). + Experience in software architecture (an asset). + Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) (an asset). + Understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in industrial environments. **AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
