Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team. This critical role is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring production efficiency, and implementing improvements to enhance product quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in troubleshooting, designing, and developing processes that support our strategic goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, maintain compliance with industry standards, and contribute to the growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Analyze and enhance existing manufacturing processes to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiencies. Direct initiatives to minimize waste, improve yield, and reduce downtime.
Process Design and Development: Lead process design and improvement projects from conceptualization to implementation. Research and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies to fulfil customer specifications for quality, cost, and delivery.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for process-related challenges. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor process performance. Develop and present solutions and process improvement concepts based on data trends and expert analysis.
Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, technicians, and operators, providing technical direction and support. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, safety, supply chain, etc.) to ensure seamless and efficient production processes.
Process Documentation: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such (e.g. 5S, Kaizen) to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance process quality.
Safety: Ensure that all processes are in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in process engineering, with a demonstrated track record of process optimization in manufacturing.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and data analysis tools such as Microsoft Power BI. A strong understanding of process design and manufacturing systems. Expertise in CNC programming, machine operation, and tooling design.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot tooling and machining issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with advanced CNC machine tools, including 5-axis machining.
Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Comprehensive understanding of material properties and machinability, including metals and composites.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work with tools and machinery safely.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $90,000-$115,000
