**Job Description**
**SUMMARY**
**The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for Kruger product lines. Duties include: preliminary and final detailed process design, proposal preparation, modeling/simulations, equipment specification and selection, write control system functional descriptions, plant start-up and operator training, plant operations support and troubleshooting.**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ **Possess the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.**
+ **Independently determine how to organize and manage assigned tasks using available company resources. The successful candidate will be able to complete the group's more complex tasks and possess the insight to know when to seek help.**
+ **Complete process designs using internal and external design tools and simulators.**
+ **Select key equipment pieces using tools provided by third party manufacturers or through consultation with them: aeration blowers, pumps, valves, diffused air systems, on-line process instruments (pH, DO, nutrient analyzers, et al).**
+ **Prepare budgetary proposals or bids based on specifications and plans.**
+ **Generate control system functional descriptions and P&IDs.**
+ **Conduct field measurements and system testing, as needed, in support of commissioning of new treatment systems.**
+ **Review progress of process startup using online data trending and analytical lab results.**
+ **Train and communicate with plant operations personnel (end users) regarding system operation and maintenance.**
+ **Collaborate internally with other process engineering staff, mechanical design team, instrumentation & controls team, sales department, and project managers.**
+ **Independently review project specifications and plans.**
+ **Write and review process performance guarantees.**
+ **Assess technical risk for project tenders.**
+ **Actively participate in meetings with Consulting Engineers and end users.**
+ **Assist the group manager in the training of new employees, and peer review junior engineers' work.**
+ **This position requires approximately 20% travel.**
**Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor's Degree in engineering required.**
+ **5 - 10 years of experience in process design of water and wastewater treatment.**
