Role
As part of our Process team, we are seeking a motivated individual to work on process design. These team members will contribute to the advancement of lime technologies including CO2 technologies that will shape the future of lime production. Join our dynamic, close-knit team and make a groupwide impact by enhancing process performance and shaping innovative approaches to support and monitoring.
Responsibilities
· Project Management:
Provide process engineering design input to the project during the pre-study & study phases on established technologies or emerging technologies (product characterization, technical requirements, material balance, PFD, P&ID, functional descriptions etc...) On request provide on-site support to the Process field support team during commissioning, start-up of operations and improve current assets facing issues, helping the local teams to adapt to new constraints.· Technical watch & knowledge transfer:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments & practices in process engineering Actively contribute to the process engineering community of practices Actively contribute to the “Group Engineers Training Program” by developing & delivering training contents· Safety:
Provide technical support to operations and/or project teams on facility safety initiatives when designing and/or redesigning work processes to mitigate workplace injuries.
Profile
Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Chemical…)
5-7 years of experience in an industrial process (lime, cement, steel, glass, or similar
Soft skills:
Strong complex problem-solving skills and passion for technical aspects of industry Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to explain complex analytical concepts (operators, engineers, business audience) Total ownership and autonomy on support and project Detailed oriented Driving for Results and ability to prioritize to meet the deadlines Teamwork, collaborative and influencing skills Coaching attitude, able to give and receive honest Feedback to/from collaborators Open to other cultures and ready to work in an international environmentProfessional skills:
Professional & Technical Expertise linked with a 5-7 years experience in Industrial Processes and an Engineer education level: Energy, heat and mass balances, combustion, fluid mechanics, emissions, chemical process Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, refractory, instrumentation and control knowledge (theoretical and practical) Computer Skills (MS office tools, AutoCAD basics, Visio, …) Fluent in English (min level B2) Open to travel (+/-25%) Showing an interest and having basic knowledge on data science concepts is a plus Other languages are a plus Experience in CO2 technologies is a plus Experience in Lime or cement technologies is a plus Maintenance competencies are a plus

The manager of the team is Sebastien Lambert, 34years old. He joined Carmeuse eight years ago as a process engineer and previously worked as an electrical reliability engineer. He holds a degree in electromechanics from Faculty of Engineering of Mons.
Sebastien is passionate about technology and seeks to learn new things every day across various subjects. He values personal growth and believes in surpassing oneself, whether in sports or other areas.
His goal is to lead a department where colleagues feel comfortable and empowered. Sebastien organizes work to leverage people’s strengths and foster their growth. He strongly believes in decisions making based on facts and consolidated knowledge.
With his teams, he continually seeks more efficient and effortless ways to collaborate within the department and with others.
