As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

Working independently, you will lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will also lead activities designed to generate appropriate process information using modelling and simulation, and pilot plant scale up and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. You will be involved with/lead process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. This position requires you to manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities, and; create intellectual property that gives Mondelēz International a competitive advantage.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

•    Knowledge of product quality / consumer needs plan and conduct process development activities including process design and specifications, heat and mass balance, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments and create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications. 
•   Writing technical reports, manage stakeholders, and be making recommendations & influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data. 
•    Working in teams and independently with appropriate guidance
•    Prioritizing and managing activities
•    Identifying problems proactively and creating and implementing solution
•    Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data and to reach clear conclusions: leveraging skills such as Minitab or Jump
•    Communicating technical information effectively verbally and in writing
•    Technical curiosity, continuous learner and a drive to ensure technical rigor
 

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s in Food Science, Food Tech, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering

Job specific requirements:

•    Minimum 4 years in process engineering, preferably experienced in cakes and pastries such as soft cakes, cupcakes, brownies, muffins, croissants including packaging 
•    Leadership experience of ideation to trial execution
•    Technical risk communication to cross functional partners
•    Knowledge of product quality / consumer needs

Travel requirements:

25% travel

Work schedule:

Must live within commuting distance to East Hanover site.  Hybrid working model but must be able to come to office to collaborate/connect with colleagues.

The base salary range for this position is $95,100 to $130,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
