As Senior Process Safety Specialist, you provide process safety expertise, identifying and controlling the hazards of the materials we handle, the chemical processes we run, and the physical equipment we use. You will participate in safety (PHA/MOC) & design reviews for new and existing processes, ensuring the safe design and on-going operation of our facilities, reducing the risk of accidents, to our employees, workers, and community.
Your continuous improvement of process safety technical competencies will effectively influence the team and the design and operation of our facilities while providing expert consultation on process safety issues and developing and delivering related training content.
Formula for success...Leveraging your experience as a Process Safety professional or in a manufacturing role with EHS responsibilities, you will provide strategic direction to site and BASF leadership on EHS issues and opportunities. Your experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis is essential as you participate in project reviews, process hazard analyses and change management processes.Utilizing your solid analytical and computer skills, you will ensure internal and external reporting requirements are met; recommending efficiency improvements to data generation and reporting processes while partnering with operations and optimizing available systems and technology. Your engagement within the organization will be valued as you lead and/or participate on EHS work teams /task forces and partner with other EHS experts developing processes and initiatives, ensuring continuous process safety improvement.As a subject matter expert on process safety topics, you will provide and deliver training content and coaching, facilitating programs, procedures, tools, and successful practices across BASF EHS . Demonstrating your knowledge of EHS regulations, you will interface with regulatory agencies and third parties on compliance and enforcement issues.Your EHS management systems experience will be valued as you support the implementation of Responsible Care® Management Systems.
