What you`ll do:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Specialist (f/m/d) for export control and international sanction regulations (“Trade Compliance”) for SAP. Your focus will be on strategic process design and optimization for export control activities. You will concentrate on developing efficient workflows while operational export control tasks will be handled by our execution teams.
In this role, you'll analyze and optimize trade control processes across German, EU, and international regulations. You'll develop solutions for sanction list screening and export controls while implementing advanced trade compliance IT systems. You'll spot where procedures can be improved and implement solutions that make everyone's work easier. Your process designs will help teams handle product classifications and compliance tasks more efficiently. When regulations change, you'll lead the process updates and provide business-oriented advice. You'll communicate changes effectively and help teams adapt to new ways of working. Your role is crucial in keeping our trade control processes current and efficient. Working with multiple departments will be key. You'll ensure processes flow smoothly between different teams and support the advancement of trade compliance IT solutions. You'll maintain clear documentation and create materials to help others understand the procedures. You provide support to regular process audits. This position requires strong analytical skills, process expertise and trade control system knowledge. You'll use your expertise to create systems that make complex trade control procedures more manageable for everyone involved.
What you bring:
Essential domain and technical skills include:
Minimum 5 years professional experience in Trade Compliance, with focus on process management. You have strong system skills related to SAP Trade Compliance and screening solutions (SAP GTS or/and SAP BIS), including system configuration and optimization. You possess in-depth knowledge of German and EU export control and foreign trade regulations with regard to international requirements. Knowledge of US export control law is desirable. Experience in process design, documentation (BPMN), and implementation Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills Proven track record in process optimization and automation Experience with compliance management systems and audit proceduresYou bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with fluency in English and German is beneficial. Your background includes experience in change management within complex organizations and IT solution implementation, particularly in trade compliance.. Experience in the software or technology industry is valuable, along with knowledge of process mining and analytics tools like Signavio. Professional certifications in trade compliance or process management round out your qualifications.
