The Senior Procurement Analyst is a key support role for sourcing projects related to cost savings, innovation, and benchmarking. This role performs data mining internally across multiple ERP systems and externally across multiple sources. Additionally, the Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst helps the Procurement Team propose corresponding strategies for sourcing and negotiation. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst analyzes all RFP data and presents findings and recommendations to senior management. This role collaborates with Marketing/NPD, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations and other functions to create best in class Procurement processes

How you’ll shape the future of Sourcing

Analyze internal data and generate reports across multiple ERP systems using SAP and other available tools, to support projects, Category Managers, and other RYAM Leaders for benchmarking and cost savings opportunities. The position requires a deep understanding of quantitative analysis and the proper handling and interpretation of data coming from multiple sources. Responsible for populating and maintaining complex databases to provide fact-based information for multiple procurement categories.Extract, cleanse, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources while ensuring accuracy.Develop and administer yearly spend data and reporting of projected trends using the demand plan, layering in futures and commodities, delivering results to senior leadership in the monthly value chain meeting.Identify business opportunities and provide recommendations for changes to processes based on trends and data analysis, applying knowledge of procurement, relevant issues, and financial goals.Manage critical and complex competitive bidding processes (RFP) and conduct complex analysis, including price/cost benefit analysis.Implement processes to enable optimal category solutions including cost modeling, price/volume analysis, TCO analysis.Develops and documents methodologies and collects data, analyzes, and reports on Procurement and supplier performance metrics, including spend, savings and contract compliance.Work with revenue managers and controllers to fix issues with SAP pricing master data during standard cost adjustment periods.Serve as a lead on the implementation of SAP Cloud Analytics and develop a strategy and the content/reporting for the Procurement Team, then serving as a SME for the team.This position does not have any direct reports but will provide leadership to the other members of the Data Analysis team as needed.Limited travel required to various facilities in the company & seminars is expected, travel anticipated to be less than 5%.

You’ll be someone who can bring

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative or engineering degree discipline such as Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics is highly preferred.Three to five years’ experience in a quantitative environment to solve complex problems. Strong excel skills including pivot tables, charts, and complex macros.Data visualization experience with Power BI (preferred) or Tableau.Comfortable handling large quantities of data from different sources.Able to clean, merge, and manipulate data. Ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests at the same time. Working knowledge and understanding of SAP/ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.Data analysis and problem solving are required in the position.
