Purpose
The Procurement Senior (Sr.) Analyst is responsible for supporting the sourcing and evaluation of suppliers, negotiating contracts, preparing recommendations to decision makers, and facilitating the risk management process. This role also plays an important role of analysing the enterprise relationship of key suppliers with the objective of maximizing value and identifying benefits through promoting a joint collaborative approach. This role sits within the Strategic Sourcing team and supports the development of the supplier strategy aligned to the category and business strategies. Through coordinating enterprise TPM activities (e.g., compiling third party management data and reporting focused on key indicators of performance, financial, contract compliance, innovation, and overall relationship health) across functions and business units. Accountabilities
Supports the development of supplier strategies and contracts. Enhances supplier relationships by developing and continually improving upon post-award supplier processes Supports Strategic Sourcing team to manage the supplier strategy across Scotiabank and commercial relationship with the supplier Develops and drives supplier scorecards and ongoing supplier performance improvement working with supply base. Own and maintain key inputs required for enterprise-wide reporting and analysis for key reports and decisions. Liaise with procurement partners to review, report on, and revise contractual agreements, supplier and category strategies as necessary. Develops working knowledge of the third party risk management process and requirements across the key risk categories that impact third parties Liases with the business contract/risk owners to provide support in the management of all aspects of third party risk, including ongoing monitoring activities (the business/contract owner owns the risk). Identify ways to expand or improve the operational relationship with a supplier to better accommodate the Bank’s needs. Identifies process improvement opportunities in order to drive better quality and delivery performance. Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Support development and implementation of relevant policies, standard, frameworks and requirements relating to third party risk management Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. Bachelor's Degree In Management, business, or related field; Master (MA or MSc) in business or related field Preferred 3-5 years' previous experience in supplier relationship management, financial services, or Procurement Realated fieldWorking Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.). Stress may be experienced due to conflicting/changing priorities and tight deadlines.
