This role in summary

 

Whirlpool is currently seeking a  qualified candidate for the role of Senior Procurement Analyst - Finished Product Sourcing opening to join our Global Finished Product Sourcing team, within the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization. The role will be at our Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor, MI. This role is onsite 5 days a week.
 
The individual in this role will assist in projects & vendor management of finished products across categories. The Senior Analyst is expected to manage the new & existing product introduction for finished products and is responsible for ensuring day-to-day business operations i.e. business continuity, hands-on tools related to vendor pricing adjustments, new vendor creations  & related activities. The role is also expected to support cross-functional stakeholders and key initiatives to achieve operational excellence and product leadership.

Your responsibilities will include

 

Execute Day-to-Day procurement activities in the region & with relevant stakeholders which includes ie new vendor creation updates, vendor  payment issues resolution & managing supplier pricing adjustment regularly Managing GSS system-related operational activities Coordinate internal deliverables to suppliers – demand planning, designs, quality, and cost targets as well as develop a detailed action plan for suppliers & track progress against the launch planLead & coordinate day-to-day activities for new finished product launches & related modifications with suppliers and the cross-functional internal team (Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain)Manage launch, cost, and quality projects related to finished products  (various brands)  throughout product life cycles to achieve unit cost targets, and quality targets, and maintain program timing for assigned products.Daily project management of established launch plans for assigned products/projects.  Resolve launch readiness situations and prepare/ensure cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved.Balance activities for multiple projects to ensure all priorities and key objectives are met.Validate, track, and issue capital and expense expenditures (tooling and equipment)       Lead & coordinate supplier reviews on day-to-day operational activities /projectsTrack and evaluate supplier activities against their launch planMonitor and track key performance indicators for suppliers & assigned productsDevelop and lead continuous improvement activities for key product management processes/systemsMinimum requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, or project managementPreferred skills and experiences

 

Demonstrated use of project management skills.SAP system knowledge On the path to developing technical capability to become a subject matter expert.Demonstrated ability to negotiate and use conflict resolution skills.Manage ambiguity via strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and business acumen.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities and competing priorities         Self-motivated, results-oriented, and flexible attitude
