Innovate to solve the world's most important challengesSenior Procurement Buyer We have an opportunity for a Senior Procurement Buyer to join us at Honeywell, in Horsham, where you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the purchasing team, developing relationships with suppliers, ensuring the material according to production plan at the best price and on time. Crucial to the role is communication with suppliers, actively seeking opportunities to streamline and strengthen these crucial contacts. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model. Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to MRP messages for material procurement, overseeing purchase order maintenance, supplier monthly forecasting, key planning parameters, and invoice reconciliation.Manage supplier performance by ensuring partnership with strategic suppliers to meet production objectives, taking assertive action on past due deliveries to explore all alternatives for schedule improvement.Develop commodity-based sourcing strategies to align with both EMEA commodity team strategies and site-specific needs, balancing total cost of acquisition principles.Work with the transition team to keep project plans current, ensuring necessary parts are defined and ordered for effective support of transition and follow-on schedules.Implement ordering policies aimed at minimizing inventory costs while actively managing and reducing inactive, obsolete, and surplus inventory, alongside enhancing supplier relationships and refining the purchasing process.Key Skills and QualificationsUniversity degree in business or related field, as well as a background in Purchasing or relevant, preferably in production companyMicrosoft Office (Excel in advance level).
