Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their team. This role involves overseeing the procurement life cycle, ensuring that supply-based risks are identified, managed, escalated, and mitigated in alignment with prime contract requirements and operational goals. The Senior Procurement Specialist will collaborate closely with other functional groups, such as Legal, Contracts, Compliance, Risk Management, and Finance, to effectively support business strategy. Responsibilities include creating and issuing requests for proposals, evaluating supplier proposals, conducting pricing analysis, and negotiating various agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating small business subcontracting plans, administering subcontracts, modifications, and task orders, and ensuring compliance with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements.

Identify, manage, escalate, and mitigate supply-based risks throughout the procurement life cycleCollaborate with Legal, Contracts, Compliance, Risk Management, and Finance to support prime contract requirements and business strategyCreate and issue requests for proposals and evaluate supplier proposalsConduct pricing analysis and bill of materialsNegotiate non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, license agreements, terms, and conditionsCreate small business subcontracting plans, ensuring compliance with prime contract and agency regulationsAdminister subcontracts, modifications, and task orders while ensuring compliance with CPSR requirements

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a procurement specialist, including government contractingExperience with negotiating pricing and termsExperience with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) auditsKnowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Experience with evaluating requirements for hardware or software to support DoD government client contracts

Preferred Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
