Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead the research, negotiation, and execution of complex organizational contracts and procurements. This role requires advanced consulting skills, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to intricate challenges. The Senior Procurement Specialist will work independently, mentor team members, and may supervise other procurement professionals. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
Research and negotiate major organizational contracts and procurementsApply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise to procurement processesDevelop innovative solutions to complex procurement challengesOperate independently with minimal directionMentor and supervise team members, as neededRequirements
5+ years of experience with procurement in defense contractingExperience evaluating requirements for hardware and software procurements in support of DoD government prime contracts, including FAR and DFARS flow-downs, special requirements, and performance work statementsExperience establishing CPSR-compliant procurement files greater than $250,000, including small business subcontracting plans, cost accounting standards, and the Truth in Negotiation ActExperience evaluating and negotiating terms and conditions to identify and mitigate risk based on purchase order award type, commodity, and anticipated award valueExperience evaluating statements of work or bills of materials for completenessExperience evaluating source justifications to ensure compliance with the procurement award typeExperience evaluating software license agreements to ensure conformance with federal regulations, including End User License Agreements, GSAM, or GSARExperience providing instruction about contract requirements and procurement processesExperience with Microsoft Office Word and ExcelAbility to multitask and prioritize based on demand of requirements or workloadPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossession of excellent organizational, consultative, and problem-solving skillsEducation/Certification Requirements
